Flush Joint PVC Pipe Threading Machine

The JK1607 has the capability to thread flush joint PVC pipe sizes of 6" up to 16".

Model JK1607 is equipped with a 17" ID hollow spindle which is rotated by a 1 hp gear motor powered by an AC frequency drive.  This design incorporates touch screen programming for all dimensions and movements.  The automated movements are performed by hybrid closed loop stepper actuators and is controlled by a sophisticated PLC (control unit) which has the capability to store 10 different thread dimensions and specifications (5 pin and 5 box). The thread cutting motor is a 5 hp 3500 rpm powered by an AC frequency drive. An additional 3 hp motor is used for cutting the part off and oring groove when needed.

The touch screen programming gives you the ability to easily change thread dimensions.  Each step of setting up the thread values is described on their own screen. Once you have entered the appropriate dimensions for each step, the information will be stored and will not have to be entered every time. 

Machine can be setup with 5 different thread pitches. The thread ratios are easily entered through touch screen. No gears, chains or lead screws to adjust. It is all electronically linked from spindle to actuator. Some thread ratios are 2 TPI, 4 TPI, 8 TPI, 3 TPI, 11 1/2 NPT, 8 round taper, 6mm DIN, or 12mm DIN and more. Changing between pipe sizes is much simpler on this machine. First change pipe holding collets and thread cutter if going from ID to OD. From there you will press "Thread Selection" and select the appropriate TPI and thread recipe.

This machine has proven to be extremely dependable and trouble free.  This system can be compared to a scaled down version of a CNC lathe but with more simplicity and ease of operation.  The long term dependability is a result of converting to an electrical system instead of air.  This design simplifies the machine by considerably reducing the number of parts required to operate.

- Two heavy duty pipe supports equipped with multidirectional wheels.
- Vacuum fixtures around cutters requires no less than 1 hp dust collection vacuum.

The JK1604BP has the capability to thread both plain end/flush joint
and bell end on pipe sizes 6" up to 16".

This machine is equipped with expandable self centering front and rear chucks for threading bell end and flush joint pipe.
Front and rear 17" ID self centering 6 jaw chuck to accommodate pipe sizes 6"-16".
